Braces are used to move teeth into the ideal position and align how they bite together, known as occlusion. It’s a Matter of Looks. You may have teeth that are not perfectly straight but do not cause health problems. If you are happy with your smile, there is no need for braces. But if you are not happy with your smile you need to embrace the braces, too. Braces are most often prescribed during childhood or early adolescence. Adults are also getting braces more frequently.
For the kids, we find their mouths continually changing. Their jaws lengthen, and their mouth area grows and expands. Baby teeth are lost, and permanent teeth start to grow. The best age for getting braces varies from one person to another person. Most of the time, treatment with braces begins at an early age. There is no specific age at which a child should first visit the orthodontist. Some kids go when they’re 6, some kids go when they’re 10, and some have that first visit when they are well into their teens.
